We take your privacy very seriously. This notice explains how and why HOPE Art Therapy uses clients’ personal data. When we refer to “we”, “our” or “us” in this policy we are referring to HOPE Art Therapy.

We use the term personal data to mean any information that you give us from which you can be identified. This might include your name, your address, your email contact details, or your telephone number. Information where your identity has been removed (anonymous data) is not personal data.

Who controls my personal data?

HOPE Art Therapy is the controller of your personal data. We decide how your data are used, who we share your data with, and for how long your data are stored. We are listed on the Information Commissioner’s register of data controllers under Registration Number C1429781. Your personal data are processed by HOPE Art Therapy with a duty to maintain confidentiality when processing your data. 

Deleting and disposing of your personal data

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected the data, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

· Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

· Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

· Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

· Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

· Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

· Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

· You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
